Improved user management

Post by time »

A couple of improvements could be made to user management.

Firstly, the ability to see which users are logged on with a link / button to log them out if you want to. Secondly, users should be able to change their own password without having to ask an admin to do so by enabling the checkbox for "password must be changed at next login"

User change password feature is coming in the next major release.

As for logged in users.... Well, there is a tracking problem with that, as you don't have an idea of when they logged off. You could keep track of the last activity with of the user and make sure that you time that entry out when you know the session has timed out. But I honestly don't see that the extra overhead is worth it.

Oh, failed to mention...

Much improved logging will enable you to track user activities better.
