Missing labels on some graphs
Operating System: Win2k
Webserver: Apache 2.0.55
Cacti: 0.8.6h w/patches
Cactid: 0.8.6g
MySQL: 5.0.18-nt
PHP: 4.4.2
RRDTool: 1.2.12-cygwin
Net-SNMP: 5.0.3.1
Cygwin: Not installed separately - whatever is included with the apps that need it
The subject pretty much says it all.. Some of the graphs are missing labeling, but otherwise everything is working properly. I tried searching, but didn't find anything of relavence. Help?

If some graphs have text while others do not, then you're experiencing a common rrdtool 1.2 bug.

The source code is available from http://people.ee.ethz.ch/~oetiker/webtools/rrdtool/
Some of the early rrdtool 1.2 versions didn't have this bug... but they have a lot of others. So the tradeoff is up to you. If you go back to rrdtool 1.0.x, thats fine too, you just loose all the neat features that came with 1.2
I believe the problem more frequently when the cpu on the system is taxes while creating the graphs. For example on my old-ass cacti server which is a P3 450, I almost always see graphs which are missing their text. On the otherhand, when testing stuff out on my P3 3ghz, I rarely see text missing. I haven't bothered to look into the source code to figure it out. IF you do, let Tobi know the fix!

If every graph is missing text, then you haven't specified a rrdtool font in setttings.

I dont know if this is a coincidence, or the answer, or something I was doing wrong.. But I went Console -> Settings -> Visual -> Default RRDtool 1.2 Fonts; I then pasted in the same font from Paths -> RRDTool Default Font Path; Since then, I have not generated any label-less graphs. Whatever it is, I'm happy
Fonts disappear
cacti 0.8.6h
EasyPHP 1.8 (PHP 5)
rrdtools 1.2
php.cmd (not cactid)
My graph fonts disappear one time by day
When I restart my easyPHP they comme back !
Any idéa ?

I second that.Codespeare wrote:I would highly recommend installing the components (Apache, PHP, etc) separately, instead of as part of a package (EasyPHP).
