Hi

Here is a template 4 Cisco BGP stats,exported with 0.8.6h+plugin_arch.

so do you importat each of the xml files or does one (or more) get moved to the script_query folder?

you have to move the cisco_bgp.xml to the resource/snmp_queries dir

Any ideas on how to make this just a routing protocol template - to include, for instance, OSPF, IGRP, EGRP, etc.?

i will try to make a bgp+ospf template and then you can go allong
with that.

I'll try.

I did notice that OSPF is pretty close to BGP in the OID tree...will have to search for the others.

alright whast the trick with this to display the correct description in the title of the actual graph

instead of the getting like the above with AS

im just getting

Router - bgpPeerIdentifier

any help appreciated guys

ok sorted this out ...

within the

cacti_graph_template_cisco_bgp_updates.xml

it has the title like

<title>|host_description| - bgpPeerIdentifier</title>

but going through the other xml files, the contents between the title tags should be

|host_description| - BGP - Peer:|query_bgpPeer| AS|query_bgpPeerRemoteAs|

Changed this within cacti and boom, title's are correct and looking sweet as

great stuff...

Looks like this will be quite cool. We just started to run BGP and it will be nice to get some cool graphs to go with it. Thanks!

Works great on a Foundry Bigiron 4000 too..

edit: well almost great, getting a bunch of gaps in my graphs, see:

i have downloaded the bgp templates and i have copied the cisco_bgp.xml file in snmp directory as suggested above.I don't know what to do in cacti front end and how to create templates and graphs for this xml file and any one is having good documentation please provide me

Go to Console, Devices. Clic on your Cisco router.

On the bottom of the new page, go to the Associated Data Queries frame. On the drop-down menu "Add data Query" select CiscoBGP. Clic the Add button on the right-bottom. Then go to the upper side of the page, and clic the "Create Graphs for this host" blue link.

You will find now your peers. Select the checkboxes of those peers, and clic "Create" button. You now have your graphs created (well, just wait for 10 minutes so that they gather traffic

)

when i try to import those XML files i am getting Error: XML: Hash version does not exist.

i am using cacti 0.8.6g

any solution for this
