AT&T now blocking all snmp to there 12.124 /16 network

Post by iconick »

AT&T did not tell us. But after all our router graphs died I spend a day trying to figure out why SNMP was not working....

Come to find out that AT&T's new security policy is not to allow any snmp to there transport backbone. Chance are if you are a AT&T cust. Your external IP is on the 12.124.0.0/16 network...

So if you are a AT&T cust and your graphs died this is prob. why. The work around is to poll the inside interface of the router.
