Reset stats?

Post by NT »

Hi there,

Is it possible to reset/clear ALL statistics and graphs to zero?

Basically, I've been trialing Cacti for bandwidth monitoring, but I'd like to start "official" logging at the start of next month.

Ideally, I'd like to keep all interfaces and devices as they are, but just to clear the stats for those devices.

Many thanks,
Nick.

Yes, Delete all the rrdfile and they will be recreated on the first polling cycle.

Hi,

Thanks for that - is anything (statistic-related) stored in the database?

Regards,
Nick.

Nope, cacti uses rrdtool for that.

Some host availablity stats are stored in the database, but nothing to worry about, or that is graphed.

Hi,

One final question:

How can I reset the date/time which is displayed on each graph? Is this something inside the database, and if so, where can I find it and how should I modify it?

Thanks,
Nick.

???

That is on the fly, your current time, minus the selected timeframe.

Hi,

Do you know where I can remove the start date/time though? At the moment it says 24th January even though I cleared the .rrd files.

Thanks,
Nick.
