|query_field_name| not working on a graph

Post by BSOD2600 »

As you can see from the picture, the |query_tablesize| variable for my graph is not working. Is there some restriction to how cacti collected the data it can display using query_field_name ? Cacti is getting this data from a simple php script.

The value must not be being found in the snmp_cache. You should check the database for that value. Replacement should/does work.

Is the information being collected in your data_query? Again, check your data_query. If this is "script" based (aka Not a data query), you may have more work.

Yea, this data won't be in the snmp cache because the script is php and it's simply reading a text file (well this portion is at least for cacti).

I guess the query_field_name variables are only valid for SNMP queries?

You are correct. The results of Scripts, must be numeric in the end.

The results are numeric though. This is the output of the script: Tablesize:2048 Allocated:47263 Freed:47181 Full:0 Expired:46786 Cachehit:7

Is there any other way to simply display the Tablesize number in my graph legend w/o actually graphing a line/area ?
