Blank Graphs in Cacti (running Windows 2000 server)

Post by ajones »

Hello There

I installed Cacti on Windows 2000 server.

PROBLEM: All the graphs that I created have remained empty.
At least 24 hours have passed.

I configured task shceduler to run poller every 5 minutes.

Can you offer a solution or diagnosis?

So far I have verified poller.php at the command prompt

C:\>php C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\cacti\poller.php

I have also examined the Graph Source/Properties and it shows:

Also My cacti configuration has a number of devices and graphs that I added myself. The decives' SNMP information shows up OK e.g.

SNMP Information
System: Cisco Internetwork Operating System Software IOS (tm) 7200 Software (C7200-IK9O3S-M), Version 12.2(23), RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2) Copyright (c) 1986-2004 by cisco Systems, Inc. Compiled Wed 28-Jan-04 15:11 by kellmill
Uptime: 92863203
Hostname: Gateway1.xxxx.net

Cacti seems to have automatically created some Data Input Methods corresponding to the interfaces of the devices I added.

So could it be something I did not do that I should have done??

Here is an example of one of my graphs:

GATEWAY - Cisco 7200 VXR - Traffic - Fa0/0.1 Interface - Traffic (bits/sec) 120x500

When I click on that link, the graph comes up blank.

Another thing is that the following file has remained empty:

C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\cacti\log\cacti.log

Also If I click on the link to "*Turn On Graph Debug Mode", the app seems to hang forever. I then have to logout cacti & log back in

Thanks

Adrian

Well your attachement doesn't have any graphs.. just a copy of this post. Anyways, do you have a font defined in the cacti -> settings?

Are the rrd files getting updated every 5 minutes?
Are you using the Cygwin build of rrdtool instead of the win32 one?

Thanks for the reply

I imagine that the rrd files are being updated based on the 'date modified' (as per attachment)

FYI: This post is continued under the name:
