Graphing traffic control stats?

Post by jcurbo »

Has anyone ever had any experience with graphing Linux QoS (tc) stats with cacti? I searched and didn't see any results.

tc produces counter results if you use the -s option for each class you have set up. I guess you could pull in these with Perl and graph them but I have no experience with Cacti plugins (I'm a relatively new user) so I wanted to see if anyone else had done anything along these lines yet.

Thanks in advance.

You don't need any experience with plugins. Only thing needed is a script that returns the values you need. You may use shell/perl/php/or-what-you-like for this. See Chapter 9. Data Input Methods for requirements.
