Cacti won't read external rrd files,log file empty

Hi,everybody,my problem is this,i just need cacti to graph grand total of traffic from some external rrd files which are updated with mrtg ,i found some topics about importing external rrd files ,but nothing was clear to me is there any manual how to set up cacti to just create graphs from external rrd sources but not to update them.Thanks in advance.

Ok.i solve the problem,it was about the paths
on windows instalation,in cacti settings paths must go with / not with \ as it's written in manual,and i think that somebody shold fix that.
