Hi

For one year I have used a super tool for upload/download configurations.
Pancho (http://www.pancho.org / http://freshmeat.net/projects/pancho)

This is a very performant tool in Perl. It functions for all typs of router/switches like Cisco, Nortel, Avaya, Foundry,....

It is very simple to use (perl-config-Files module) and you can do a lot with this, like change a command for 100 routers in one click.

Only problem I found is for the CatOS upload. You cannot change the config on the CatOS, only the download function.

It needs a TFTP on the server and therefore in window we have to use a trick in order to change the TFTP-path. Trick like to start a "nameoffile.reg" before, which contain the registrry-path for the TFTP.
For unix not an problem.

I think it would be easy to do a plugin for pancho! (scheduler+consversion srcipt for the config file)

What do you think about a such feature ?
