Poller error -- libnetsnmp.so.5: undefined symbol

I have recently installed cricket and created devices. I am able to connect to the devices to pull SNMP statistics. However, I do not have any RRA's created yet. The cacti user does have proper write access to the RRA directory since I can create and delete a file in that directory as the cacti user. However when I run "php poller.php" I get the following error...

php: relocation error: /usr/local/lib/libnetsnmp.so.5: undefined symbol: RAND_bytes

I have the latest version of cacti and NET-snmp 5.2.2.pre3. I have recently reinstalled net snmp, but that doesn't appear to fix the problem.

Any ideas?
