PHP/Mysql problems with cacti on Linux Redhat 8.0

Post by RouterSlayer »

Ok, I'm lost here.

I get this message when I try to connect:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: mysql_connect() in /var/www/html/netinfo/include/database.php on line 19

I've checked my /etc/php.ini and it does indeed have:
extension=mysql.so

and I used ./configure --enable-cli --with-mysql
to compile PHP 4

I still get the same error message. I even tried installing all the RPMs for Mysql, including the shared and developer rpm's and tried the --with-mysql=/usr/include/mysql and other options, to no avail.

I'm not sure why this isn't working
