graph_view.php problem

Post by TFC »

Hi,
I fresh install cacti 0.8.6g (again), I download and apply pathes.
Then login cacti
when I go to graph page ( http://localhost/cacti/graph_view.php?a ... &leaf_id=7) I cannot see any graph. I see only red X (I can see the graph in the graph management page when I turn on Graph debug mode.
when I click red X I go to http://localhost/cacti/graph.php?local_ ... rra_id=all and I can see the graph.
Here is the graph about my problem

I solve the problem.
In the Settings page, I change the rrdtoo Utility version
I use 1.2.x but cacti shows 1.0.x
After change from 1.0x to 1.2.x problem solved

Cacti Version 0.8.6g

I am using rrdtool-1.2.11
But the preview mode is not visible. just like what TFC has.
Under settings -> paths:
i have /usr/local/rrdtool-1.2.11/bin/rrdtool for the RRDTool Binary Path

But I dont see where I can change the version from 1.0.x to 1.2.x.

Please help :) Thank you.

(*added)
but I have a cacti version 0.8.6f installed on another machine and the preview mode is visible. and also under settings->general I can see the option to choose the RRD version. but not ont 0.8.6g

Thank you

i have to go into deeper the sql table.
apparently,

under the settings table, it is missing the row of
rrdtool_version rrd-1.2.x

I added one in there and boom the preview mode is working.

i am not sure if the distribution that i downloaded is imssing that or not

# more cacti.sql | grep rrdtool_version
#

thanks a bunch :p
