Blank web page

Post by warneir »

Setup
Win 2k server
PHP 5.0.5
IIS
cacti 8.6f
MySql 4.0.26

I have the poller running properly after some time of getting 338 and 339 errors.

Set up and configured PHP. Tseted PHP with a phpinfo.php page. All seems to be working properly.

when I go to http://localhost/cacti/index.php I get a blank page.

I view the sorce and see this....

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
<HTML><HEAD>
<META http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=windows-1252"></HEAD>
<BODY></BODY></HTML>

Am I missing a permission somewhere?
I have follewed the 1000 guides out there and have check all the settings several times.

I am using IE to view the page. Should I be using a diferent browser?

No, a different browser should not be needed. Did you try following the installation guide in my signature?

I followed a guid of yours that I found which help with some of he odd problems I was having.

With the problem I am having now I am thinking about trying cacti on another PC with apache.

I have attempted to resolve this (Hopefully last issue) for some time now. I even went and add the everyone group to the folders and set full control on them to see if it was a permision issue. Still the same problem.

with the above source it makes me think there in a problem with index.php.

I have not modified index.php in any way.
I dont even get to the login when going to http://localhost/cacti/index.php

I don't use apache, so I couldnt really say what the problem is. Although, my guess would be that it lays in httpd.conf.
