User Management - Field Input Error

Post by sotho »

Hi,

I have people log into cacti using ldap. Based on company name policy the user accounts are lastname.firstname; on login these get created in the cacti user management. No problem so far. Now, if I want to edit the permission of these users I get a 'Field Input Error' on the field 'User Name' during the save. The error does not happen on accounts without special characters.

Any suggestions/solutions?

Thanks in advance,
Fabian

I knew this would bite someone in the future....

It's due to the form validation proceedure that occurs on a global configuration. I will have to take a look, but not probably till this weekend.

Tony,
Did you get to have a look at this issue ?
I am currently having the same problem with LDAP and firstname.lastname and was wondering if there was a fix in place.

I am on win2k3 and 8.6h + patches + +

Cheers.

Fix was put in place in 0.8.6h, if I recall correctly, the change log should say something.

Ahh OK my fault. I have a number of servers here and the one I was integrating LDAP into had not been updated yet.

Thanks
