IMHO, this is not a bug of AUTOM8. AUTOM8 does in fact not work on graph titles or change them in any way. So I assume, that this is the default behaviour of the traffic data query.

gandalf, you're right. I have just checked: I tried creating a graph manually and indeed it behaves like that.

Any ideas how can I avoid such behavior?

i'm already using autom8-v0.35b6.tgz

1st issue:

I have defined some simple Graph Templates to my host templates which are not beeing graphed automatically (e.g.Router CPU/buffer misses/temperature,...) . How do I set a rule in this case to autom8? The Hosttemplates selects the correct graphs but i have to graph them manually.

2nd issue:
do i always have to hit the "Apply the autom8 rules to device"-Button even if i have enabled the auto function under settigns>misc? i have tried to delete(inc. datasources) and readd 1 device, select hosttemplate and save, but i see no automatism after.

3rd issuse:
tree-rules:
how is it possbile to automatically asign my devices under a location tree?
e.g.

Company>
----> Munich
-----------> 80333, Examplestreet
------------------> CISCO Switch x
------------------> HP Server y
----> Berlin

All my hostnames contain a ZIP code, maybe it is possible to filter some text credentials from the NOTE field of each host?

All simple graphs without prompts are graphed automatically. If a prompt requires your input, autom8 is at a loss. It can't guess what you'd like to enter.

You don't need to do it manually. Adding a new host either via cli or via web should trigger autom8. Did you enable the rules as well? Find some traces in cacti.log.

It is possible to use notes today. You may use it for filtering, but I don't know if it's possible to get all features you need out of it. To judge, I need a sample notes field.

I have solved the first issue.

Yes i have enabled the following:
[x] Enable Autom8 Graph Creation
When disabled, Autom8 will not actively create any Graph.
This will be useful when fiddeling around with Hosts to avoid creating new Graphs each time you save an object
Invoking Rules manually will still be possible.

Th odd thing is that autom8 logging is not showing anything even in high or developer logging mode. I have checked the file permissions twice, but they are fine. I have configured another logfile path but i dont think this is the reason.

And what if a graph has input fields with default values supplied. Like a graph for mysql stats, which has an input field for port with default value = 3306. This default values is used usually, but sometimes you want to graph stats for mysql on port 10306 or any other. Can autom8 create such graphs automatically using default values for input fields?

Sounds like a feature request. I would think that would make Autom8 really take off if the templates could be exported/shared.
