I had the same problem... It is possible to get it running by first installing manage 0.2 and then upgrading to version 0.3.2. This way all the tables etc are set up OK and then everything works. This is an awesome tool, well done to the guys who deveoped it.

0.4 is ready

before release, i need a few more testing.

as planned, i have added monitoring of windows services.
i have added windows processes too.

you must install these templates :
http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?t ... highlight= thanks cigamit

http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?t=6661 thanks BSOD2600

notes :
- if you use cactid, not cmd.php : services template seems to be incompatible with cactid, so delete graphs created and disable data sources to avoid errors in cacti.log
- sometimes, services template needs patch of mories, but not always
http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?p ... 4218#67694

for questions relative to these templates, please don't use this thread

add healthchek port & link

Post by pepj »

Hi

Could you add the possibility to do a healthchek for port+link?
For example to check if the server answer to http://serverx:7321/mylinktotest

The basis is (i wrote this for the tools plugin http://cactiusers.org/forums/topic469.html)

Code: Select all

function HealthCheck($host, $port, $req, $timeout = 10) {
    $host = strtolower($host);
    $req = preg_replace('/\\\\/', '\\', $req);
    $Request ="HEAD " . $req . " HTTP/1.0\r\nUser-Agent: Service Check\r\nHost: $host\r\n\r\n";
$OkResults = array("200\D+OK", "200\D+Document\s+Follows", "302", "301");
    if(!is_numeric($port)) $port = 80;

    list($MSec, $Sec) = explode(" ", microtime());
    $TimeBegin = (double) $MSec + (double) $Sec;
    $Socket = @fsockopen($host, $port, $error_number, $error, $timeout);
    list($MSec, $Sec) = explode(" ", microtime());
    $TimeEnd = (double) $MSec + (double) $Sec;
    $Time = number_format($TimeEnd - $TimeBegin, 3);
    // Check port

    if (is_resource($Socket)) {
       if ($Request != "") {
          fputs($Socket, $Request);
          stream_set_timeout($Socket, $timeout);
       }
       if (!feof($Socket)) {
          $Response = fgets($Socket, 4096);
          stream_set_timeout($Socket, $timeout);
       }
       $Result = "Failed";
       $Error  = $Response;

       foreach($OkResults as $exp_result) {
          if (preg_match("/$exp_result/",$Response)) {
             $Error = "";
             $Result = "Ok";
          }
       }
       fclose($Socket);
     } else {
       $Result = "Failed";
       $Error = ((!$error) ? "Time out" : $error);
     }

     return array(
          'host'   => $host,
          'port'   => $port,
          'request'=> $Request,
          'result' => $Result,
          'time'   => $Time,
          'error'  => $Error
        );

 }

not in this version, but it is actually in my developpement version

(i associate a test to perform to verify that a port is really up.
in my dev version, i associate port 7321 to the "web" test with "/mylinktotest" as parameter)
