Report plugin ''ReportIt" - v0.7.5a (released 23/12/11)

Hello

First of all Big Thank you for Reportit I'm using it from couple of days now and it is excellent.
However I cant't get it to send me emails. I've configured everything and still no emails are sending. Is there anything else I have to do ?

Has the settings plugin been already installed and configured properly?

Please backup your db first. After that disable the plugin using the plugin management console. Replace the files and then enable the plugin again.

Not yet. Data query variables have been introduce in the last release, but ReportIt can not handle text messages so far.
Sounds like a good feature request.

Thank you, At the risk of challenging my luck
I have some more questions and suggestions for improvements.

More opportunities to sort and filter the report.

filter for any column, for example, all interfaces with BW = 100M
or filter with thresholds, for example, all interfaces with utilization> 60%
and/or any device that begin with certain letters.

First off, I'm going to join the long list of users offering up a big thank you Andreas. ReportIt's a great plugin which will allow me to show lots of pretty things to my managers! Nice!

I have literally just created my first Report so I may have missed it, but is there a way to do reports for the past 30 minutes/1 hour?

I'm planning on using the automatically generated stats to scale our web servers, hopefully every hour.
I basically want to be able to export cpu utillization and processor load reports every hour which will then get analysed and a recommended number of webservers for that time the next day will be produced.

Any pointers would be really appreciated.

That's another approach! Be patient with me, because ReportIt is an old lady. Although I cut off some old traditions this limitation exists since 2006. It will change in the midterm as well.

The Version I'm using is 0.75a. Everything is working fine, I'm using also threshold and it sends mail's without any problem. Reports are working fine as well. I think i found what is causing the problem. I haven't set Cronjob, but I don't know how to do this. Could you please point me the way ?

Until I have changed the way how reports will be scheduled automatically you have to setup 5 scheduled operations. If you're using Cacti on a Linux box then you can make use of crontab:

for example:
"crontab -e"

Fill in for example:
#Daily
0 0 * * * /thishost/unix/cen/php/bin/php /thishost/unix/cen/cacti/plugins/reportit/runtime.php -d > /dev/null 2>&1

(#Weekly: 10 0 * * 0 #Monthly 20 0 1 * * #Quarterly 30 0 1 1,4,7,10 #Yearly 40 0 1 1 *)

Using a Windows box instead of Linux you have to setup a "scheduled task". In both cases you should take a look at an online documentation.
The command is always "<path_to_php> <path_to_reportit>/runtime.php ". At the end you have to add e.g. a "-d" for daily or "-m" for monthly.

Run "php runtime.php" to get an overview of all valid parameters.

I have installed reportit 0.75a but getting validation error when I try to add any report in report configuration, can any one help me to resolve this issue?
