Gthe, if you see this post, can you contact me ????
Last time I had some problems, but now I'm ready to spend a few free time to further work on the plugin.

Iа I understand correct from your post it made by the transfer of data to another table.
I do not like it because:
1. additional tables.
2. Additional tabs require additional memory for the plugin (and not so small).
3. The fact that all this should be replicated and to syslog.
But the idea I like - I suggest to make it due to the additional field in existing tables. And to show the existing tabs with the choice of display modes (all, ack, not ack).

The idea is good, but it is a direct path for sql injection.

But if the majority of users want this functionality - I'll add it.

I agree with you, as I did not create any new table but just added a "ack" field in plugin_camm_snmptt table.

Hi guys,

I'm relatively new to Cacti, Linux and MySQL but I managed to set up a Cacti-server on Ubuntu.
I 'm running ntop, smokeping and weathermaps just fine for a while, but now I want to use the CaMM plugin.

I installed the latest version (1.6.7) and the syslog-part is working fine, but I can't get the snmp-traps in the CaMM database.
I see that the traps arrive on my server using tcpdump with a filter on udp 162, but they never appear in the database.

When I look at the "Stats and Charts" page in the CaMM plugin I see that the tables that are related to snmptt are never updated...
I configured snmptt according to the manual at the first page of this topic.

Any ideas of what I'm missing or where to look?

Thanks in advance.

I try to install camm 1.6.75 with cacti 0.8.7h / PIA 3.0 / settings 0.5.

In my database I found all camm table :
plugin_camm_keys
plugin_camm_rule
plugin_camm_snmptt
plugin_camm_snmptt_stat
plugin_camm_snmptt_unk
plugin_camm_syslog
plugin_camm_syslog_incoming
plugin_camm_temp
plugin_camm_tree2

But, when a try to click for the first time on camm tab I don't have auto-upgrade process, I have only "Loading Cacti camm plugin..." and lot of error on http log :

Hi. The sheaf snmptt + camm doesn't work. In log snmptt writes that trap accepts, but doesn't write in mysql. Prompt that else it is possible to look.

hi gthe,

Just a simple feature comments/request for this wonderful plugins:
1. Add snmptt-community search in Rules creation and search filters?
2. Color alerts for critical, minor alarms, current version(1.6.75) only support colors in Major and Warning.
3. for the edit filter rule, using "=" and "!=" only accepts values which already exist in the database, it doesn't allow entries not existing in the database, I suggest that it should accept values even it doesn't exist in the database yet.

Hope you can consider this request. tnx.

Hi there,

Although CaMM is great, I have an issue with it when using CaMM v.1.6.7 with syslog and snmptt. My Cacti server is 0.8.7i running on CentOS6.2 x64.

Clicking on a tree item in the Syslog tab narrows the messages on the right to the selected field only, that's great. But it doesn't work for me in the SNMP Traps section. Practically, nothing happens when I click on any of the items on the SNMPTT tree. I don't think it is a normal behavior, but it can be the case that it doesn't work for me only. Therefore will you please (anyone) confirm that this is working for him/her?

The other issue I have is related to SNMPTT. I know that this forum is not supporting officially SNMPTT, but maybe some of you had this problem and found a solution for it. The problem comes from the EVENT line of snmptt.conf, especially the severity field at the end of the line. Some devices work in a way that they have one generic trap (therefore one OID) to send whenever it is needed and the nature of the trap and severity is defined in a varbind, which can be queried in the FORMAT string, but not in the EVENT string. As a result, "coloring" in the SNMP Trap list doesn't work. Does anyone have a solution or a fix in the perl script of SNMPTT or a workaround by any means?

Thanks.

Okay, after digging more on it, I found out that:
1) nothing happens when I click on a tree item in Safari 5.1.2 (on OSX Lion)
2) nothing happens when I click on a tree item in Firefox 10.0.2 (on OSX Lion)
3) the following error message appears when I click on a tree item in IE8 (on WinXP SP2):

Code: Select all

What shall I do to make it work? Any suggestions are welcome.

Thanks,

Karoly

EDIT: SOLVED. I went through a bunch of posts and found this to be modified in the cacti.plugin.camm-min.js file:
cruxx wrote:found it :D

replace "sys_grid" with "d".

Code: Select all

var h=d.getStore()

Tree is working just fine.

do you plan a plugin update (extra feature, ecc.)?

I use rsyslogd instead of syslog-ng so modified my /etc/rsyslogd.conf file thusly in order to insert syslog data into CAMM MySQL table.

Code: Select all

$ModLoad ommysql
$template cacti_camm_syslog,"INSERT INTO plugin_camm_syslog(host, sourceip, facility, priority, sys_date, message, status) values ('%HOSTNAME%', '%FROMHOST-IP%', '%SYSLOGFACILITY-TEXT%', '%SYSLOGPRIORITY-TEXT%', '%TIMEREPORTED:::date-mysql%', '%MSG%', '0')", SQL

*.*;user.warning >localhost,cacti,cactiuser,cactiuser-password;cacti_camm_syslog
So far it looks OK. the table is filling up with syslog messages and I can begin to play around with CAMM.

Hi Gthe,
is possible to have in the next release a tab for 10 top reccurent syslog message for every device?
So is possible to find easily some device issue or some message that is possible to delete to free some wasted space in db.
