Would it be possible to add "Aggregate" to the plugins that are installed? Also can the script install templates? Because that would be great! The most common in my field are "diskio, lmsensors, stats(RFC1213) and disk_usage".

Sounds good. Oh if you could add one more template. The poller stats template http://docs.cacti.net/usertemplate:host:cacti:poller

Also thanks once again for all the great work you have done on this script. Cuts the amount of time it takes in half when installing.

Great job...
Installed on Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS, running on VM fusion (MAC OS X 10.6.6).
No glitches of any kind....!

Thanx everyone for your help and support, I'll put a new version of the script soon including support for Squeeze & Natty Narwhal if it doesn't already work ^^.

Regards,

Deel

Hi followed your instructions and on patching I get errors and most of the files have been renamed to .orig and .rej.

I installed ubuntu 10.04 64 bit and updated the server and then ran your scripts.

Please advise.

Any chance of an updated script that would install 0.8.7i and some of the templates requested? :)

A note has been sent to the Debian package maintainer. He may be able to release the most recent Cacti with PIA support, which 'should' preserve you existing plugins and their configuration.

Just installed a Ubuntu 11.10 64 bit system clean and uses the script to get Cacti up and running ...

worked like a charm. No issues at all.

Hi guys --

First time script user, trying to get it to run on Ubuntu 12.04LTS 64-bit. Ran it as root, seems like everything went through just like it was supposed to. Nor errors, no hiccups.

Unfortunately, I don't get any output when I hit http://<theip>/cacti -- all I get is a blank page. I checked to make sure the include/config.php file was updated appropriately as with other forum posts from non-script compiled versions, and apache is running just fine to register http calls, it's just not spitting out any login page/prompt.

Anyone run into this yet?

Thanks kindly!

I had problems running the script on Ubuntu 12.04 because of incompatible versions of stuff, so I did some updates to the script myself. :)

Stuff I changed:
* Changed to latest versions of Spine and Cacti.
* Removed PIA installation since it is now part of Cacti 0.8.8a.
* Removed old patches and added the one patch there is for 0.8.8a so far.
* Removed old patches for Spine since there are none for the latest version.
* Patched Network Weathermap plugin, since some of the MySQL syntax in setup.php doesn't work on newer versions.

Warning: All plugins except Network Weathermap are untested with this version of the script! However, I see no obvious reasons for them not to work :)
I tested everything else on Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS and it works like a charm. 8)
