There will be a resulting readme with the notes for the login/pw for not just Cacti, but also for the db, etc.

You can find the post install notes, with the passwords, under your C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\cacti\docs\html\post-install.html (path might differ depending what location you installed to, but the ending html doc name will be the same).

Hi,
I see that the installer is still using older version Cacti 0.8.7e .
Is there a newer version say -Cacti 0.8.7g installer?

Thanks.

Yes.

There is... but I've been waiting for the developers to get off their lazy asses and release PIA 2.9 (which should contain all of the latest 0.8.7g patches). I think I'll just go ahead and release it here shortly, because I'm tired of waiting around.

I hope you release it shortly.
What do you think about a release of actual state and then a sequence of patch to your installer so you can keep it updated with incoming fix?

smlick: Yea, that's exactly what I'm going to have to do it seems. Tired of waiting.

luis_lights: Not an installer problem, please post this in a new thread. unable to find the MIB files is due to the MIBSDIR system variable missing/incorrect. please refer to the installation guide.

HI BSOD2600,
thanks for the great respond with the new installer.

But now i'm facing new trouble. I couldn't backup my old cacti data which has stopped working since few weeks ago.
The newly setup cacti is working good.

Cheers.

First of all BSOD tnx for your work.
I tested it in my test environment and I tried as I did before with the previous release to import the db from my production environment (0.8.7b).
As usual I imported the old RRA into the new folder and update the cati db (mysql -uroot-pmypassword cacti < mysql.cacti) I followed the import procedure after login but something goes wrong.
This is what I get from log

09/28/2010 11:20:00 AM - SYSTEM STATS: Time:298.3372 Method:spine Processes:2 Threads:10 Hosts:278 HostsPerProcess:139 DataSources:664 RRDsProcessed:0

So the RRD are not processed. I tried spine and also cmd.php with no success and the cacti scheduled task run ok.

Any idea?

WAIT WAIT WAIT :)

with cmd.php works ok!!!
So the problem is only with spine, I'll try to investigate more.

I get also

CMDPHP: Poller[0] WARNING: Install function already exists for plugin directory 'Manage'

I found this post about this error

Hi BSOD2600 I tried to enable SSL plugin but it semms not working.
Have you tried it from your installer?
I tried also to enable in IIS manager under site properties-->directory security-->secure communications the require secure channel (SSL) option but with no success.
You can try it?

This thread is for support issues with the installer -- not plugins. Please direct your support question to the plugin forum and it's author, Jimmy Conner.
