New version of Cactid is hang (1 time form 10...20) as a previous version 8-( .

02/11/2005 03:33:00 PM - PHPSVR: Poller[0] ERROR: Input Expected, Script Server Terminating
02/11/2005 03:34:58 PM - POLLER: Poller[0] Maximum runtime of 296 seconds exceeded. Exiting.

I make cactid with -g (and with -ggdb), but GDB can't debug it -

Reading symbols from /usr/platform/SUNW,Ultra-60/lib/libc_psr.so.1...done.
Loaded symbols for /usr/platform/SUNW,Ultra-60/lib/libc_psr.so.1

Reading symbols from /usr/lib/libresolv.so.2...done.

Can I debug it with MDB (Sun debugger) ? (cactid make with gcc 3.4.2)

I think that that is a great idea. Keep us posted with your progress.

Ev,

Can you downgrade net-snmp to 5.2 production or 5.1.2 that contains solaris builds and see if the problem persistes. Also, have you sent me a database dump yet. If so, I probably deleted it. Please resend.

Thanks,

I found net-snmp 5.1.2 for solaris 9 8-)
But on this machine runs old ucd-snmp wiyh it daemon - I can't install net-snmp from binaries with it daemons, only without it.

That's fine. You only need the client libraries. You do not need the daemon running. You should be able to make that version and possibly install it. Make sure you review the net-snmp.org web site for tips.

Also, your database will be very helpful if you have not already sent it.

Problem solved.

Post by Ev »

Problem is solved. It was in cactid+mysql 4.1.9 (make from sources without any additional optimization, gcc 3.4.2) .

Cactid 0.8.6.e (without patches) works normally with Mysql 4.1.10 (from MYSQL binaries - max. version) & 4.1.10a (std version) .

Other components - php 4.3.10 (from sources), zlib 1.2.2 (from sources), net-snmp 5.2.1 (from sources), httpd 2.0.53 (from sources), libxml 2.6.18 (from sources). openssl 0.9.7.e - binary package.

I'm recommend change docs in
http://www.cacti.net/downloads/docs/con ... laris.html

- if it possible, use under Solaris binary package of Mysql (version after 4.1.10). Std versiom or Max.

Ev,

This would only apply to SNMP v2 and Script Server operations. Not to native SNMP v2 calls.

Must be a net-snmp problem or another problem occurs when you have multiple MIB's that cover the same OID.

This is an old version of Cactid. We are planning a new release here very soon. SVN Branch 0.8.6 would be where I would start.
