Why doesn't scheduling spikekill (amongst other plugins) not work? I mean i tell it to run at 2:30 every morning, it says save sucessful but i never see anything in any users crontab so nothing runs. before someone retorts with, it a permissions problem, please have the courtesy to explain where it could be a permissions problem because i have spent hours on this now and both cactiuser and apache are in root group but still no luck.

Basically, anything that should modify the crontab through cacti doesn't (it does through webmin though)

HELP.....

thanks

These plugins don't use a crontab to run, they use the normal cacti poller, they just run after the poller itself (via the poller_bottom hook).

There could any number of reasons why they aren't running. But we aren't given enough information to try and figure it out. Are you polling at 1 minute or 5 minute intervals?

Hi cigamit,

I have same problem,

Let me understand, spike kill runs after poller?

How can I understand it works or not works?

what kind of keywords do I have to use for cacti.log for search logs spikekill?

I have still spikes.

I have Version 0.8.8a cacti
5min poller
