prokart53,

do you have installed the Plugin Architecture v0.9 ?

The patch works only with Cactoi 0.86h and last Plugin Architecture v0.9.

If running 0.8.6h and plugin arch you do not need to d/l the original tarball just the patch and the image file.
Put the patch in your cacti directory and apply like any other cacti patch
patch -p1 -N < cacti0.8.6h_with_plugins_to_cactiquery.patch
then put the graph_query.png in your images dir.
Thats it.

That looks like an hours worth of data to me, what were you expecting to see?

The amount of data is tied to the view of the graph are you looking at a monthly view?

I think I have found my error.

I have set my graph settings to:

Thumbnail Sections to Tree View (Dual Pane)

So I can see only the Cactiquery button when I click to the graph and then my time selection (last month for example) is no longer valid.

With Tree View (Single Pane) setting I get all values I need. :-)

I see whats going on... the code for the link in graph_view.php and the code for the link in graph.php is different (you can get monthly stats form the tree view)
odd
anyway the fix for this is posted on page 2 (the line numbers will get you close if you decide to change it yourself.)
I'll get that added to the patch and reupload. I won't be able to get to it until tonight though.
I guess I should make a patch for my patch as well :-?

edit --
heres the patch for the patch
only use this if you downloaded and applied cacti0.8.6h_with_plugins_to_cactiquery.patch before 02-14-06

$valine not defined line 904 rrd.php

Post by prokart53 »

When I click the query button I get no data other than a link dump a csv is this what is expected?

When I click the dump to csv link I get the following error:

Notice: Undefined variable: valine in /var/www/html/cacti/lib/rrd.php on line 904

I see that this was brought up in a previous post but did not see a solution other than download latest download.

I have applied the patch and the patch for the patch that you have posted but not the original tarball from the OP.

I'm really looking forward to the ability to dump a graph out to csv so any help you can give would be appreciated.

I just followed your steps with a fresh install of Cacti 0.8.6h and now I just get a blank page when I try to access Cacti.. Nothing else... Any ideas?

Usually happens when you have PHP errors causing Cacti to die, but yet you don't have display_errors in php.ini set to on. Make sure you have PHP setup to display errors, and then restart apache and try again. It should spit out a few errors this time, and using that info we can probably help you out.
