I've just been renaming my ports from "Port 1" to "Port 01" and all sorts fine... although this is tedious it works.

Change the display order from Graph Template to Data Query based for this host and see if it works in one version but not in the next. More QA on contributions I am thinking.

If you want to change the display order of all your devices to Data Query, you can execute the following query in your cacti database:

Code: Select all

update graph_tree_items set host_grouping_type='2';
Works perfectly now.

It would be wonderful to be able to sort the host graphs themselves without needing to create a new Graph Tree and adding individual graphs

For example:

If you are in Console -> Graph Trees -> (Edit) (after selecting the tree you wish to edit)

You select the Host: under the Tree Item

At this point it would be nice to be able to expand the host you would like to manually sort and change the orders of the individual graphs under that host.

Yup, I am going to completly gut the whole Tree concept. What will replace it will be pretty compelling.

I 0.8.7c, I have paginated the Graph Tree, and given you a "Search" filter and Graphs Per Page Dropdown. That should help in the mean time.

Awesome. A cool idea to go along with that would be to have the ability to display the graphs of the sub-items of a selected Heading or Group item.

In that way you would have the option of viewing all possible graphs for a Group or Heading or drilling down through the graph tree to see more specific graphs.

Thanks again for your hard work.
