jbiel,

I remember a similar error I had in the past. It may be related to a file access problem (chmod ...). I'm pretty sure it does not relate to the templates themselves (as I'm using them without any problems)

good luck

Are the scripts the latested upto date?

Post by cybersloth »

Hi all,

Ive installed the scripts you have listed here and have a questions..

1. Are the scripts listed here the latest? as looking at follow ups looks like changes have been made? to correct data gathering and display?!

2. The port we are monitoring is 1GBit and I know the port is currently running at around 512Mbit.. Looking at Broc1.jpg below is showing me RX Words is running at 5 Units? but looking at the other Current: items I can see TX Words at 612.00 m ?!! why dont we see that on the chart and what are the Units Per Second Really showing me? is the small m Mbits per seconds and the capital M MBytes per second? look at Broc2.jpg how the large Spike for TX 1.8M has killed the other detail?

Thanks Rob

m = milli
M = mega

What should be done is some maths in order to get the correct values. Read the thread, reset the MAX and MIN values in the datasources, create some calculations to get the Words in bits instead of the values you see today.

When you feel your values are correct. Post your new templates to the thread.

Currently I'm overwelmed with work. Quite frankly, I dont have the time to do this myself.

The previous mentioned CDEF seems to work fine. My Storage Guys are satisfied with the results.

I added the fixes for the MaxValues and also added a graph which is being generated by the above mentioned CDEF.

I exported the templates so you guys might give them a try.
Thanks for those templates btw Royce, you saved me a LOT of work.

Greetings

export

Post by jvlalonde »

Could you please post the whole host export of your updated Brocade FC Switch template.
Otherwise I'll have to downgrade to import the first release, upgrade and the import your updated version, 'cause I'm still facing HASH Errors during the import. I'm running 0.8.6g.

Did you copy the brocade_interfaces.xml from the first post into you're "resources/snmp_queries"? before you did the import?

I exported the template in 0.8.6g with -> Export Templates -> Host Template including dependencies and then saved it locally. So that should be okay imho.

Edit: I added the brocade_interface.xml in my post above.

import

Post by jvlalonde »

Yes, I copied it b4.
On 086c I got: Error: XML: Hash version does not exist.
On 086g: Error: XML: Cacti version does not exist.

Strange...

Sorry but i have no idea what is wrong. I remember reading something about the Version in some other thread. Maybe someone else can post if it worked for him.
