So, thanks for that, but your poller cache for 0.8.8 shows a traffic OID, and the one for 1.2.5 shows a broadcast packages OID. Are you sure you know what your problem is, cause by what you are posting, I'm certain you are not thinking strait.

I'm sure what the problem is, when I select the interface to monitor, cacti 1.2.5 pulls out a broadcast packages OID, while cacti 0.8.8 pulls out the correct oid, the one from the network interface, (seen in the screenshots) , the problem is not mine, it is cacti 1.2.5

I think you'll find it comes down to your default selection of the graph to create for the interface. That's a user issue not a cacti issue.

Well it is curious that this only happens with cactus 1.2.5 and not with the 0.8.8a, or with zabbix, illuminated

Yes, again probably because you've defaulted to the wrong thing. Change the graph type to an interface graph and it may work as expected.

I think this whole problem boils down to human error. Cacti 1.0 is much different than cacti 0.8.0 8. You will just have to re-educate yourself.
