I'm running 0.8.7b , and upgraded to the latest version of add_graphs.php . I'm getting the error:

l_graph_id = AND graph_templates_item.task_item_id = data_template_rrd.id LIMIT 1"

This is trying to add a cg graph. It appears that on line 332 of add_graphs.php it is attempting to do a lookup based on the assumption that $existsAlready was successfully pulled. Based on my reading of the code, dataSourceId shouldn't be set there unless existsAlready returns a valid result.
