Hello, I am new in the forum.
I am using cacti since few years.
I have cacti 0.8.7d with the plugin architecture.
hardware/OS = Generic_142909-17 sun4v sparc SUNV, T5240
spine 0.8.7d
PHP Version 5.2.9
Apache 20051115
mysql 5.1.34
NET-SNMP version: 5.4.2.1
RRDTool Version RRDTool 1.3.9

On this same box... 2 zones are dedicated to cacti.
each zones have 4 cacti instances running with different polling interval...
instance A dedicated for 10 sec interface traffic graphs....up to 150 devices
instance B dedicated for 60 sec interface traffic graphs...up to 50 devices
instance C dedicated for 5 min interface traffic graphs... always 850 devices
instance D dedicated for 60 sec QoS graphs...up to 20 devices
for all instances, in average 2 graphs per device.

All instances are running ok until ghost spine processes are appearing...
The cacti log relates poller output table not empty, or duplicate entry errors...
or warning cron out of sync...

Changing the spine parameters it fix it until it happend again, etc...
for exemple when some devices are down, etc...
Where can i find the appropriate spine polling parameters...?
How can i prevent this ghost processes ?
Best Regards
Thank's in advance....
