OK, I now know what was wrong with the original templates, or at least two of them.

The Exchange Connections graph was only showing the Active users.

I have more than 100 users... so I needed to change the data template so that it had a maximim of 0 (rather than 100) That is change Exchange - I.S. Stats so that the data source count_users had 0 as its maximum..

The other graph I was having problems with is the Exchange - Mailbox Performance graph...

I'm not entirely sure what was wrong with this one, but I've changed the script so there is no space at the beginning of the data, and put all the Data Sources on the same line (rather that spread out which is unneccesary). I've also made sure that none of the data sources have a maximum value, and it now works, SO i've included the new template below. Along with the script.

Put the script in with your other scripts (in CactiEZ this is /var/www/html/scripts) make sure its got the same owner and permissions as your other scripts (in CactiEZ the apache user MUST be able to execute it). Import the xml code, and away you go...

All graphs installed and working a treat on a mix off Win2k/2k3 servers and Exchange2k/2k3. Thanks!

Only question I've got is why is the Delivery Statistics graph appearing bigger than all the rest?

That's cos I wanted it larger on my installation, and forgot to revert back to the standard before exporting it...

Goto graph templates.. Goto "Exchange - Delivery Statistics"

Towards the bottom you will see a "graph template" section. In that section there are the relevant entries:

Height (currently set at 180, standard is 120) & Width (currently set at 750, standard is 500). Change them back to the defaults and your graph will appear smaller.

Now need to rewrite the query, etc. to get average delivery per minute over 5 minutes rather than point in time average delivered... (if that makes sense).

I'm new to this forum, But as much as i research im unable to locate a detailed tutorial on the setup and configuration for a 2003 Server , with Exchange. My setup is a linux Cacti server.

I have tryed to duplicate and research various ways to graph the Exchange server, im only able to monitor the typical SNMP information.

I have installed NSclient on the server and the Cacti system, to the best of my abilities , if someone could take the time.

Please specify the exact software that is needed to be installed, and the ways to test the applications are working.

I would be very much appreiciated.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Oops can't find them so I'll paraphrase here:

Go Get NSClient:
http://nsclient.ready2run.nl/

It contains BOTH the windows executable (Nagios Agent service) AND the Linux binary.

Follow the instructions in the readme to install the windows component.

Then (using winscp, or Webmin's Upload tool, or whatever tool you possess to upload files) put the check_nt binary into the Cacti Scripts directory.

Check_nt has to be executable by the Cacti User (in CactiEZ this is Apache - I think - well it works if Apache is the owner and can Execute the binary).

Then you are ready to use the templates posted above.

I can get SNMP working on the win2k3 box but the graph is empty as well. I have nsclient running + WMI (I have cacti and exchange on the same box)

Ah....

AFAIK the check_nt binary ONLY works on Linux.

The NSCLIENT templates and scripts are designed to gather Windows Performance data FROM Linux machines....

Is it possible to get the total emails sent/received etc in the past 5 mins rather than the average at the time of the poll?
