error running index.php
Hello,
I just installed this package on a Windows XP machine and followed the post install steps. After the reboot when tryging to bring up http://localhost/cacti/index.php I get redirected to /install/index.php.
Can someone please tell me what is wrong?
Thank you,
Kevin

Sounds like for some reason something is wrong with the database and doesn't think Cacti has been set up yet.
Maybe double check all the NTFS permissions, per my installation guide (in signature) and IIS settings.

Upgrade PHP to 5.2.3
I ran the auto installer and need to upgrade PHP to version 5.2.3
I need clarification on how best to do this. Should I use the PHP zip file or the .msi?

Either method should work; zip would be easier in my mind.

Brilliant
Just a quick thankyou for the Win installer. It works as you said straight out of the box.
What i did.
Got a PC clean format of WinXP Pro. Got 'ALL' updates and service packs < very important as the .net stuff is needed.
Installed the Cacti and followed the instructions to a T.
Was very pleased it worked thanks again.

Hello,
I read everything 3 times, gave all possible NTFS permissions, installed on 2 PCs and still have this error.
The puller works fine.
RRDTool Says:
ERROR: opening 'C:/Inetpub/wwwroot/cacti/rra/localhost_cpu_18.rrd': No such file or directory
Thank you for your help

1) wait 10 minutes before expecting graphs.
2) read http://docs.cacti.net/node/283

BSOD> With much thanks for creating a Windows .msi that I could never hope to match... is there a tentative timeframe for the update of the installer to a newer version of PHP? I'm preparing to do a series of installs on W2K3 servers and would greatly appreciate if the .msi was updated so I didn't have to upgrade PHP manually.
Obviously the manual upgrade is doable and I can use the .msi either way, just curious if there was a timeframe so I can plan around the update if it's coming soon. Thanks for your work with making cacti easily accessible to Windows users everywhere.

Yea, I suppose I could update the installer. Besides the PHP version update, only other thing would be MySQL which is minor. I've been waiting to update it when Cacti 0.8.7 finally comes out. That in theory, is coming out in a few weeks...
