:( Data purging is broken in 1.6.0. I have my max records set to 30000 with 1 Day purging, and I now have 130,000+ records !

Unrar and replace it in cacti/plugins/camm/lib/
thx gthe

Finally I use uninstall and reinstall camm in pluging manager solve this.

But in 1.6.0 the global search (in database) function can't work, even I install a new camm in another test site.

I don't know why..@@

I can verify this also. The global search does not appear to work.

One other thing - CAMM 1.6.0 is slow in comparison to the 1.5.x series

07/13/2009 09:21:12 AM - SYSTEM camm General STATS: AllTime:26.8897 PurgeTime:0.0008 RuleTime:0.6129 TreeTime:26.2760

The TreeTime used to take around 1.5 seconds on 1.5.x ?

Thanks

Another bug ?

When clicking on the CAMM tab, it ALWAYS (well, on my system), goes to the settings tab in the plugin, even though "syslog" is selected in settings :(

So, to summarise my findings so far

1. Auto purge doesn't seem to work anymore
2. Tree refresh and recreate is EXTREMELY slow - even with only 1000 records
3. Plugin load time has increased dramatically since 1.5.x to 1.6.x
4. Database global search doesn't seem to work at all
5. Sometimes, clicking a sub branch in the tree does nothing - even with the fix, I have to either refresh or recreate the tree

Some nice looking features in this new version - just need to iron out a few bugs.. :)

Thanks

Does anyone have a coopy of the last 1.5.x CAMM they want to share ? I deleted mine, and it may be quicker to see if anyone else has one before I dig through my backups.

Thanks :P

Email rule in CAMM does not seem to work

Post by pthaynes »

Thanks for the updates to CAMM. I have the CAMM plugin version 1.6.0 installed. I have also updated the camm_db.php and camm_functions.php files using the rar files since the version update.

Everything seems to be working fine, except emails being sent from a rule. I only just configured a rule to send emails (so it may have been a problem in previous versions).

The error I receive when I run the rule is:

Code: Select all

ERROR: SMTP Host rejected to address: 501 5.5.4 Invalid Address {"success":true}
The email field in the rule has something in the format:
firstname.lastname@domain.com;

When I do a tcpdump on the server it seems that there is a trailling semi-colon character in the RCPT TO: line.

Email alerts from the Alerting / Thold plugin work, and I have SMTP selected as the email method on the "Mail / DNS" tab in my settings.

Is this something that needs to be cleaned up within CAMM, or elsewhere?

thanks for your help.

Tried changing as per number 2 - a bit better, but tree time is still 8 seconds. I am also using FF 3.5 ?

gthe - On looking at the tree time in the log, I now see

07/14/2009 10:15:52 AM - SYSTEM camm General STATS: AllTime:4.1804 PurgeTime:0.0009 RuleTime:1.0282 TreeTime:3.1513

Looks like we are "back to normal". However, this was only after I cut out around 20,000 entries in the DB ! I never had this issue with the 1.5.3 version.

The one thing that is very slow is the plugin load time. This takes around 10 seconds on my system. Again, not a problem with 1.5.3.

To recreate the tree takes 14 seconds. On 1.5.3, it took only 4 seconds.

Any joy with the other issues ?

Many thanks :)
