Yes, they there are. But I cannot simply lay out the new version with corrections, because the new version contains many additions and is still not ready.

can you tell us some info about camm new version ?
when do you think it will be available?

Hi.

i`m working a few weeks now with Camm. and i must say it is a very nice tool.

The only thing i`m trying to get working is the filter part.
if i click on the icon "create rule based on this message"
it shows me a screen named "edit filter for rule"
then i remove the "syslog-message" and the "syslog-message time" line.

if i hit test button it shows me the messages i want to be removed or deleted. than i hit done.
A new screen appears "Create new rule based on syslog message" i need to fill in the blank field. (Rule name)
Also i enable the the "Rule enable field.
hit the done button.
the rule is created and now i need to save the configuration with the save button.
then i hit the 3th icon of the rule "force run this rule" a confirmation screen appears and i click the yes button.
if i refresh the page and go back to the "rules"tab i see the rule i just created with 2318 in the "Count Trig." column.
so that indicates that the rule is working. (i assume).

But still i see the log messages coming in in the syslog tab (green colored in my case)
It looks like the messages are not filtered or deleted.

Did i missed something in my actions?

Here's my two cents (well, in the UK, two pence )

Look in SETTINGS, CAMM, "Show All Records" - if you are using rules or filters, then this should be set to "Show Only Processed"

You'll need to remove the ones that do show already, but from this point on, it should work.

Indeed i did not used any rule. Now i have "Mark records" the marker set to "1"

Here's my two cents (well, in the UK, two pence )

I`f looked in the settings configuration and made sure that the "show all records" is set to "Show Only Processed"

But unfortunately no luck.

the rule is activated on time code 1:50 pm
and i still see messages coming in. later than 1:50 pm

somehow i`m sure the this is not a software error. but i`m simply forgetting something. but what... I`l add some screen shots

I used only the functions "delete record" and "e-mail notification" so I don't know if there's a problem with the mark functions.
As I can see in your screenshoot the system trigger right the filter.

Well it seems to work indeed. i selected the "delete record"
and i don't see any localhost messages coming in anymore.

does look like the mark function is not working.. maybe in a later version of Camm.

Thanks for the excellent plugin. I'm currently using CAMM version 1.5.3. I have noticed that every now and then (probably once a day) I get a blank SNMP Trap (See the attached images). I can delete the Trap (I'll get a rule in place to do that), but would like to know how I can prevent them from being logged. I'm not even sure where to start troubleshooting (since it comes along so intermittently) - it could be CAMM, SNMPTT or one of the hosts that is sending its Traps to CAMM.

Any thoughts?

I update camm 1.5.3 -> 1.6.0. I got recreate of tree problem.

New server send syslog message to camm, camm got this new server message, and the new server show in the tree, but I don't add this new server in device, so the new server in Type: not_defined.

After I add this new server in device, then I go to recreate tree. It's in right place, but the folder show wrong. like the pircture

Recreate "IP: 137.102.32.222" should become "HOST:device description".

How to fix this ?

Another function that seems to have vanished is that the 1.5x series used to allow you to click on each "Type", and see all syslogs included in the branch, and all branches below - can we have this back ?

If you click on a branch now, you get a blank screen on the right. A way to reproduce this is to click the root "syslog" container, which works, and lists all entries. Now click a sub tree, and you'll see what I mean
