Hello,

I have created a cacti template for all of the qmailmrtg data points. I have attached the exported files to this message. At some point I will make the colors look better.

Hi,

im trying to get this working with an plesk mailserver.
It uses qmail but stores everything in /var/log/mail_sys, I did change the filenames in the snmpd.conf, but when I do an snmpwalk I get:

Code: Select all

# snmpwalk -c bbsnmp -v 2c localhost .1.3.6.1.4.1.8072.1.3.2.4.1.2.22.113.109.97.105.108.45.115.109.116.112.45.99.111.110.99.117.114.114.101.110.99.121.1
NET-SNMP-EXTEND-MIB::nsExtendOutLine."qmail-smtp-concurrency".1 = STRING: failed to open dir /var/log/mail_sys
Error: OID not increasing: NET-SNMP-EXTEND-MIB::nsExtendOutLine."qmail-smtp-concurrency".1
 >= NET-SNMP-EXTEND-MIB::nsExtendOutLine."qmail-smtp-concurrency".1
my snmpd.conf looks :

Code: Select all

extend qmail-message-status /usr/local/bin/qmailmrtg7 s /var/log/mail_sys
extend qmail-bytes-transfer /usr/local/bin/qmailmrtg7 b /var/log/mail_sys
extend qmail-smtp-concurrency /usr/local/bin/qmailmrtg7 t /var/log/mail_sys
extend qmail-smtp-sessions /usr/local/bin/qmailmrtg7 a /var/log/mail_sys
extend qmail-pop3-concurrency /usr/local/bin/qmailmrtg7 t /var/log/mail_sys
extend qmail-pop3-sessions /usr/local/bin/qmailmrtg7 a /var/log/mail_sys
extend qmail-queue /usr/local/bin/qmailmrtg7 q /var/qmail/mail_sys
extend qmail-messages /usr/local/bin/qmailmrtg7 m /var/log/mail_sys
extend qmail-concurrency /usr/local/bin/qmailmrtg7 c /var/log/mail_sys

extend qmail-virus /usr/local/bin/qmailmrtg7 C /var/log/mail_sys
extend qmail-spam /usr/local/bin/qmailmrtg7 S /var/log/mail_sys
any ideas?

EDIT: I've corrected this issue by fixing my snmpd.conf configuration ;-)

ok, i decided to give this a shot again, and i'm still getting graphs with data, but everything is 0.

My snmpd.conf looks like this:

Code: Select all

extend .1.3.6.1.4.1.18689.1.3 qmail-message-status /usr/local/bin/qmailmrtg7 s /var/log/qmail/send
extend .1.3.6.1.4.1.18689.1.3 qmail-bytes-transfer /usr/local/bin/qmailmrtg7 b /var/log/qmail/send
extend .1.3.6.1.4.1.18689.1.3 qmail-smtp-concurrency /usr/local/bin/qmailmrtg7 t /var/log/qmail/smtp
extend .1.3.6.1.4.1.18689.1.3 qmail-smtp-sessions /usr/local/bin/qmailmrtg7 a /var/log/qmail/smtp
extend .1.3.6.1.4.1.18689.1.3 qmail-pop3-concurrency /usr/local/bin/qmailmrtg7 t /var/log/qmail/pop3
extend .1.3.6.1.4.1.18689.1.3 qmail-pop3-sessions /usr/local/bin/qmailmrtg7 a /var/log/qmail/pop3
extend .1.3.6.1.4.1.18689.1.3 qmail-queue /usr/local/bin/qmailmrtg7 q /var/qmail/queue
extend .1.3.6.1.4.1.18689.1.3 qmail-messages /usr/local/bin/qmailmrtg7 m /var/log/qmail/send
extend .1.3.6.1.4.1.18689.1.3 qmail-concurrency /usr/local/bin/qmailmrtg7 c /var/log/qmail/send
snmp walk also throws this error:

[root@server01 bin]# snmpwalk -c community -v 2c localhost .1.3.6.1.4.1.8072.1.3.2.4.1.2.22.113.109.97.105.108.45.115.109.116.112.45.99.111.110.99.117.114.114.101.110.99.121.1
NET-SNMP-EXTEND-MIB::nsExtendOutLine."qmail-smtp-concurrency".1 = No more variables left in this MIB View (It is past the end of the MIB tree)

Any ideas?

I'm able to successfully use qmailmrtg7 locally on the qmail server:

[root@server01 bin]# /usr/local/bin/qmailmrtg7 s /var/log/qmail/send
