Wernicke,

Double check that you do not have multiple pollers starting from cron. This can happen when you mix a tar/rpm installation of Cacti. I would start by double checking the /etc/crontab and /etc/cron.d/cacti files.

Tried to roll back the snmp.php file from 0.8.6C
Still not any better
Some graphs are only a few drops a day, some are 50 % loss, some are 100 % loss, but most graphs are working.. Very strange

Have you verified that you are not experiencing packet loss:

"ping -l 1400 -t host.with.loss"

Sigurd,

I sent you a revised lib/poller.php. I think the reason that this problem is not affecting everyone is because you system is under high load during polling. That patch will fix the issue.

Nope, did not work, But however

Adding /usr/local/bin to the PATH in /etc/crontab did work. For some reason the poller sometimes "forget" the PATH to PHP, and it has to be defined in crontab. Strange. Looking into the code right now, but has not found the reason yet

And when it can't find it in the PATH, it uses /usr/bin/php for CMD.php users

> cmd.php

#!/usr/bin/php -q

You need to reduce the number of concurrent processes to twice the number of CPU's if you can.
