Ok, I have found the bug and Ian will be posting the fixed patch to the website.
For those that are still getting the "db_connect" error, please copy the config.php from the original source and it will get you back in business.
For those that are curious, the problem was caused by a include being placed in the incorrect order. Proper testing was not performed and the patch got released, for this, all us developers are sorry about the inconvience. This will not happen in the future, at least I will make extreme efforts to make sure it does not.
