Thold 2.x - Thresholding/Alerting module for cacti 8.6

addlema: the problem may be with the source email address; what email address do your other scripts use? This will default to the local user that is running the cron job, along with the local domain. If this is not valid, your mailserver may not be allowing you to relay out (or there are other restrictions on your relay server).

Thanks for your answer. In fact I'd like to see the device description in the mail subject, instead of the device ID.ranko wrote:fmangeant: Whatever you specify under "Hostname" in the device configuration is what is going to be displayed in the subject of the message. In your case you have specified an IP address in the hostname field and this is what you've got.

Re: Thold 2.1a - Thresholding/Alerting module for cacti 8.6
I gotta ask.. What more do you guys plan on developing for this? I hope Ian decides to intergrate this as it is a great addition!adesimone wrote:This is the new version of THold -
I has most of the features that have been requested & more (thanks to the contributions of Ranko)
This version supports any kind of RRD including counter & gauge. It should be platform independent, but has not been tested.
This version is not back-ward compatible with previous versions.
Feature summary:
- static threshold alerting
- host up/down alerting
- alerts via email/syslog
New features:
- baseline/dynamic threshold alerting
- high/low thresholding
- per-thold vs. global settings for alerting, baselineing, and others
- re-alerting cycles
- weekend alerting/polling exemption
- per-device auto-threshold building
& alot more
Any feedback is welcome.
I quick addon would be to allow us to change a From field. so instead of Root we could make it say Cacti Mon.. I have done this with my install.

Keep in mind that this is closed source addition to cacti and you are not allowed to use and not allowed to contribute to!!!

I just did a search on mail and added a from field.. I didnt do all the snazzy interface stuff.
decimal threshold
Congratulation for this module. It is very usefull.
I did not manage to enter decimal thershold :
I'd like to receive an alert when the load average is above 0.8 but 0.8 is replace by 0 as soon as I press save button in threshold management window.
Is it a known limitation of this add on ?

php_flag short_open_tag Off
... for cacti.
Thanks anyway Nice product.

royce, how did you fix it?
My php also uses
but I can't switch it on because of my other applications.
I tried to edit file graph_thold.php including in some places full tags, but nothing changed.
Anybody else succeeded in it?
