Re: Unable to use data query after upgrade to 1.1.32
Hi Cigabit,
Ah, that did the trick. Not sure how I missed the original INFO file.
Debug is now an active plugin.
I'll have to look into the sql thing.

Re: Unable to use data query after upgrade to 1.1.32
Goodmorning,
Got the debug plugin to work.
End result of the check yields Data source was not polled.
Completed and Active fields give an ok,
Writable, Exists and RRD Match give a not ok,
Valid Data and RRD Updated keep running.
I've updated to 1.1.34 in the mean time.
What to do next?

Re: Unable to use data query after upgrade to 1.1.32
On a whim I decided to see what happens when I create the rrd file for the entry which is being debugged.
The RRD does exist according to the debug and the data source is set as active.
The next 2 entries keep spinning (Did the poller receive data and was the rrd file updated) and the file does not grow in size.
The final error now is "does the rra profile match the rrd file structure"?
So what I am lacking is an understanding of the creation process cacti goes through when a new graph is requested.
Why is cacti unable to setup the needed files even though the rrd owner and poller runner are the same user (root)?

Re: Unable to use data query after upgrade to 1.1.32
Checking the poller cache, unable to find the name of the interface or device we refer to in the debug, so the device is not being polled.
Re: Unable to use data query after upgrade to 1.1.32
If the data is not polled, then the RRD is never created, so you will have to start there to figure out why.
Re: Unable to use data query after upgrade to 1.1.32
Any pointers for that?
Re: Unable to use data query after upgrade to 1.1.32
The poller is normally started via cron. That would normally be in a file under /etc/cron.d (normally named cacti).

Hi NetNiv,
Thanks for that, but it's only the new devices that aren't polled. The existing ones work just fine.
The process is broken for new equipment. Existing devices can have new interfaces added and polled and graphed.
