Duplicating Datatemplate & Graph Template, Graphs stopped

I dont think it even has to do with the duplicating anymore. maybe it does.

but the templates i duplicated and created are custom.

i wrote a custom script that connects to a remote server to run a script and then gets back a number. i'm graphing this number. so to set this up in cacti, i have to add the script, then create graph and datatemplates for it.

it is during the above procedures that the graphs on all the devices just stop working. it's baffling.
