Dead Host Notification - Email Flooding

Just wanted to let you all know that I tested it with the SMTP instead of PHP mail function. The problem remains the same.

Hello,

I've got the same problem on my cacti/thold (Cacti 0.8.7g & thold 0.4.9-3).Every time a host goes down, i receive 3 emails and when it recover i receive 1 email.
I've search all around the web and no solutions.

Test from SMTP and Php mail function but change nothing.

It's seems that every polling time, thold do all check 3 times, on the log :

What is the function who handle this ?

i got this issue same，and i found the reason is the table named "plugin_thold_host_failed" not clear,u can use this cmd to clear this table

delete from plugin_thold_host_failed

and now u can see nothing flooding again~~~

I have the same problem too.
I cleaned the table called "plugin_thold_host_failed" but the problem persists.
If you have other solutions let me know.

What version of cacti/thold are you using? if you aren't on the latest, its likely already been fixed.
