I expected to see --upper-limit in the command.

This is not the exact answer I was hoping for.
You need a possibility to specify --upper-limit without giving --lower-limit? Are you able to build up the rrdtool command you're expecting? Then I'll try to implement, no prob

You would need to read the whole thread for all the context -- but I'll summarize.

1) it's graphing fine now. All of this is a nice-to-have.

2) the requirement to put in a value for upper and lower limit in the web interface is weird, if importing a template without them doesn't also fail. (And it doesn't.)

3) after entering a required value for upper_limit in the web interface, it's weird not to see it in --upper-limit in the rrdtool command line. Why was it required if it's not used?

But nothing here is keeping me from sleeping at night ;)

You are correct. My average time to read and reply to a post is 1-2 minutes.

This is what i meant by "ugly backward compatibility". Perhaps I'll have to rethink to get rid of it. The first time I tried it was a nogo

Why does this make me happy
