I was just reading the post at http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?t=23343

I'm clutching at straws a little here, but could my issue also be related to LVM? Thats the one thing that I know I did set up differently between my original installs of Ubuntu 6.06 and later setups using 8.04.

Thanks for your responses but I've had to move on from this problem.

I have tried working through the debug but I have hit the limit of my understanding of those issues and for the sake of a couple of graphs affecting a small number of machines I just can't spend more time on it for now as I have much more pressing priorities.

I will try to test this out more when I can make some time and I will update here if I make any progress.

Have you tried using another template to plot these graphs? I am using template found here for our Solaris and Linux server, and have good success with this template found on this link:

Good luck

I'll give it a try - thanks very much for the suggestion :D

The template I am using works great when monitoring Ubuntu 6.06, but gives the strange result when monitoring Ubuntu 8.04.

I'll see how that template works and update on here.
