glad you figured it out. So in the end it WAS a permission issue. Wonder what you were missing in Sysinternals, since it should've been showing something related to permissions / denied stuff...

I don't think I was monitoring IIS. If I was I'm sure I would have seen something. I was really only monitoring sql, RRDTool and CMD.exe (and the other programs). So I was only showing success because they were working correctly. I usually do something stupid as I stated on my first post. I always seem to deviate slightly from the directions and more times than not, it sinks me. You'd think I would learn from that mistake but i haven't. I'm still relatively young, so there is hope yet.
Btw, it was the local machine IIS account that I wasn't using. It only needed 3 permissions and those were the ones I was missing. I'm happy about now I get to spend hours setting up the logging...... which I've done once already (and have more to do) in What's up Gold. But hopefully, these two programs will cover the bulk of my needs.
