Wow, it's not supposed to work this way.
Please scratch the Graph Template from the list of Associated Graph Template for that host. Instead, please add the Data Query!

Hi, what version of net-snmp would I need to have installed for this graph to work? I'm currently running 5.2.3-7 but the first snmpwalk command that was talked about returns no data.

only one CPU show load -- what's up?

Post by mokeybrains »

Code: Select all

# snmpwalk -c public -v2c example .1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.3
SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.25.3.3.1.1.768 = OID: SNMPv2-SMI::zeroDotZero
SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.25.3.3.1.1.769 = OID: SNMPv2-SMI::zeroDotZero
SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.25.3.3.1.2.768 = INTEGER: 18

# snmpwalk -c public -v2c example .1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3 | grep Core
SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.25.3.2.1.3.768 = STRING: "Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU     E8300  @ 2.83GHz"
SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.25.3.2.1.3.769 = STRING: "Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU     E8300  @ 2.83GHz"
Why don't I have another INTEGER line for the other core? Is this a 'per CPU' or 'per core' query? I created two graphs, one shows '20' and the other nothing. Also, is this number a percentage? Unix 'load' is not a percentage...

This is interesting. Even more so because I want to pull in text information from a script or SNMP and place it on the Legend such as you've done here gandalf. I posted a question to this affect http://forums.cacti.net/about29341.html&highlight= with no result. I see that you're getting the text info from your "query_" macro. Can I get this info in a similar fashion from a Script/Query? Is there any documentation on this and the available macros? Thanks! Appreciate your help.

first off I know this is a really old thread...

But I love this template, i could not get any other method to work for pulling CPU loads..

was wondering if there are any updates to it planned??

More cosemetic is what I am looking for..

I would like to force the graph to show 0-100%, the full range if possible.. that way I can see the high and low spikes at a glance

Is it possible to then add a % symbol on the Y Axis (Load) just for looks really..

Thanks for a great template.. it works great on 0.8.7d

Re: pure SNMP Replacement for SNMP - Get Processor Informati

Post by Onkel_Tom »

Hi all,
i tried today to install this version but I'm missing a instruction to implement it right.
I changed the data query for "SNMP-Get Processor Information" but still no output.

output from snmpwalk -v2c -c xxx localhost .1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.3.1.2

Code: Select all

HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrProcessorLoad.768 = INTEGER: 2
HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrProcessorLoad.769 = INTEGER: 1
HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrProcessorLoad.770 = INTEGER: 1
HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrProcessorLoad.771 = INTEGER: 1
HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrProcessorLoad.772 = INTEGER: 2
HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrProcessorLoad.773 = INTEGER: 1
HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrProcessorLoad.774 = INTEGER: 1
HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrProcessorLoad.775 = INTEGER: 1
but still no data on the graphs.
I think I still missed something in the config...
