Jay,

Is there a way you can find out how many devices in MRTG? I don't see that feature in ours. How do I go about getting this feature in MRTG so I can know exactly how many devices we have? Thanks.

Hi Cutta

I don't know. I have never used MRTG. :o( Maybe the documentation on their website might help.

Did you read my installation guide? Version 5 or above is ideal.

Okay, I installed the "Windows Installer" and I follow the Post Installation Instructions... Now I don't know where to go from here... How do I view the graphs, how do I pull up Cacti? Bear in mind that I do have MRTG also running on the same server I installed Cacti.... How do I get it web publish so you can view devices or do I have to add the devices manually?
Thanks.

Yes I did... I am following the Chapter 3 Installing under Windows. I install the Beta Windows Installer but don't know where to go after that. I am following the configurations guide so far... How do you comment out... I know nothing about scripting, perl etc. Thanks.

If you used the windows installer, then you dont need to follow the installation guide. Only the post-installation guide, which was put on your desktop.

What happens when you go to http://cactiserver/cacti/ ?

Do you think because I had started to install Cacti, RRDTool and PHP manually and then I went ahead and intall the Beta windows Installer instead why I cannot get to cactiserver/cacti?

Thanks.
