Yes.

I narrowed my focus to a single host (Host[56] which is "my4900") which is having hourly gaps on its cpu and traffic graphs. Those messages you listed are all for this host.

Could it be to do with those spike kill messages? I just looked briefly over the cacti.log and can see those messages on many of the hosts getting gaps. I looked in settings for a way to turn spike kills off but couldnt find it. Is this controlled somewhere else?

Ok its definitely to do with the spike kills. I correlated all the Spike Kill's in my cacti.log and they line up with the gaps on my graphs.

I am using CACTID 0.8.6i

How can I turn OFF this automatic spike kill? I am expecting cpu and network spikes on these hosts.

Anyone else have any thoughts how I can further this issue? I am stuck with gaps on the majority of my cpu and network traffic graphs. Each gap lines up with a "Spike Kill" message in the cacti log. I need to resolve the issue causing these gaps so that I can deliver a monitoring solution.

Any assistance appreciated.
