Once again, nothing in that log file has to do with cacti polling.

Just for testing, run: php <cactipath>\cmd.php and then see if your log file contains polling data (you should see cacti getting snmp queries, updating rrd files, etc).

Alright, finally we have polling data! Cacti is successfully polling data, so thats good. Now for why the rrd files aren't getting updated.

Did you follow my installation guide (in my signature)? You might have a ntfs permission problem preventing rrdtool.exe from running. Make sure cmd.exe and rrdtool.exe have read/execute rights for your IUSR_ account. Sysinternals.com FileMon would also reveal permission problems.

rrdtool

Yes, the IUSER, as well as the "EVERYONE" group have read and execute perms on the file.

Thats two files, cmd.exe and rrdtool.exe.

Fire up Sysinternals Filemon during a cacti polling session and look for anything getting denied.

Do not filter the output of FileMon. Leave it to log everything for a single polling session of Cacti.

BSOD ..i ran the cmd.php w/o any filters... hopefully this is what you were asking. I didnt notice any rrdtool info in there. Let me know if I should be running something else to get this data. Thx.

Are you still always running cmd.php or did you revert back to using poller.php (as cacti should always be using) ?

Nothing obvious stands out in that log file. Odd though rrdtool.exe wasn't launched and the rrd files updated though.

Make sure the poller type is cmd.php. Also make sure your scheduled task is running poller.php.

i just changed that setting before sending you the screen shot...all of our previous posts have been with the "cmd.php" selected...and yes the "task" is running. I have also manually started the "task" a bunch of times.
