That is a correctly running weathermap. You have three small problems in there:

1) You are using font number 100 somewhere in your config, and you haven't used DEFINEFONT to define font 100. Because there are so many, I guess this is in the DEFAULT node or link.

2) One of your links has the wrong BANDWIDTH set, so it reaches 1000% or 2000%

3) One of your targets didn't have any data (ramses_ds_ifinoctets_28.rrd). This could be because the RRDtool DS names are wrong. That isn't a normal Cacti Interface Traffic .rrd file, so the names may be different from traffic_in and traffic_out.

Other than that, it correctly created 2 maps (as it says in the first line).
Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.
(Let me know if you have UK DevOps or Network Ops opportunities, too!)

Howie,

If I am running 0.92 currently, I just unzip the 0.93 over my existing weathermap.

Then do the copy of the saved configs to the configs folder, then do the chown's..

That should work right.

Howie,

Will i notice any difference in the GUI for the NEW version.

I just installed it over the older version, and really see no diff. visually.

In the GUI? It's all fairly subtle.

In Cacti you can now edit files by clicking on them from the Management screen. You can get directly to the docs there too. (two new links at the bottom of the management page). There's at least one new option that someone requested, to only show the first map on the weathermap tab.

In the editor, you can create a map using another as a template. You can clone nodes (keeping any special settings). You can set the positions numerically. You can directly edit the text of any node or link (so you can add stuff the editor doesn't support). Any time you pick a position (node, scale etc), then you can see the pixel coordinates.

There's no huge differences, but there are quite a few smoother edges than before. Most versions of weathermap don't look any different from the previous one though - even with new features, I try to make sure that you don't get surprised by the defaults changing between versions if I can. Config from 0.6 (2 years ago) should still work in 0.93 and produce the same result.

ADDED - Editor now allows you to clone a node with all it's styling intact.

Guess i do not see this, where exactly would I notice this option.

Click on a node. It's one of the buttons at the bottom of the green dialog box that appears. It creates a copy about 20 pixels to the right of the original, called 'oldnodename_copy'.

The 'Edit' button in there is one of the other new features - full text edit.
