Odd. Well attached is the file from my orginal cacti install which I made this script on. Although, since my installation is now cacti 0.8.7a, so will yours to import it. Let me know if it works.

Fixed. Cacti doesn't like the degree symbol I had put in. Either manually remove it from the xml file or redownload the updated template.

Your cacti version must be the same or greater than the version I exported the templates with. I just re-exported them so the min version is now 0.8.7a.

It's on the dell openmangement cd or install folders. Try google too. It's not required though.

snmpwalk .1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10892.1.700.12.1.2 on that server. I bet it won't respond.

OK, I have to ask...

I downloaded and imported these templates. Previous templates that I have imported have shown up in the drop-down box under "Associated Data Queries". These do not. I can see "Dell PowerEdge - Temperature" under "Data Templates", but I cannot see how to create this graph for a given host... it just isn't there.

Was the templates all imported successfully?
Are the the Dell entries in the Data Queries section? Graph templates?

I have 2 questions.

1.where should I put those dell's mib file? in cacti or dell server?

2.I use snmpd.conf, when I add mibs +MIB-Dell-10892 in snmpd.conf, I got error ""/usr/local/share/snmp/snmpd.conf: line 18: Warning: Unknown token: mibs""

how to fix?

thanks!!

Cacti, as that's whats used to resolve the OID to friendly name.

consult the snmpd manual for how to add additional MIB files to its default parse list.
