Wouldn't I get some of the results back? I get nothing - no graphs anywhere have any data in them. I have a nasty suspicion that some permission somewhere is flubbing the whole thing up - or maybe the links need to be rebuilt? They point to /var/lib/cacti/ - I just wonder why all of my graphs appear to update but get no data put in them... Also, I cannot create any new graphs.
Lastly, system-config-users puts python at 100% or close to it which implicates my /etc/shadow and /etc/passwd not matching completely. I have vi'd these things more than once (to put it mildly) and I have line by line matches. Thanks for the help!

Yep, as you mention it. All rrdtool updates, even those for the working SNMP stuff are missing. Please double check, that SETTINGS->PATH and rrdtool utility version are absolutely correct (the rrdtool binary must be specified, see "which rrdtool").
There has been some rumour about "missing" rrdtool updates, but I don't remember where and how it was solved. Must be some 3-4 weeks ago, I suppose. Please try searching or google

Resolution.
Well - I finally said good-bye to the rra's and did a quick screen scrape of the devices I had defined. Removed cacti completely, dropped the database - and reinstalled. OK, I pulled a Microsoft and I hate that - but it seemed the only logical avenue left.
After reinstallation - no problems. Thanks to all who tried to assist!
